Whom to thank

Re “Quintard Ave.’s beauty gives city proud entrance” (Speak Out, Sept. 19):

Letter writer Sylvia Cashen gives thanks to the city of Anniston “for providing and maintaining this proud entrance to the city.”

Instead of Cashen giving thanks to the city of Anniston, one would suggest that she best might bow to Alabama Power Co. for allowing those trees to remain, even temporarily.
