Mark Brown's column, "What
if Bush has been right about Iraq all along?", Feb 1, 2005, asks,
"Maybe you're like me and have opposed the Iraq war since before the
shooting started -- not to the point of joining any peace protests, but at least
letting people know where you stood."
Folk like Mark are completely
safe in their "wind blown" opinion; "fence-sitter" folk who are guaranteed the lowest rung
of Dante's hell.
John Stuart Mill stated, "The person who has
nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than
his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free
unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself."
