Sen. Reid has it all backward

Referring to"compelling and astounding" polling data, the results of whichmay have a great impacton our nation's future,U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid stated, "We're going to pick up Senate seats as a result of this war."

A more accurate statement that might gauge the impacton our nation's future might be: We're going to pick up a war as a result ofSenate seats.

This article may contain too much truthiness for the average high school senior.

excerpt:
In April 2000, gold was selling for $279 per ounce. Last Friday, at the close of the market it skyrocketed to $679.50---more than double the price.

Gold isn’t going up; it’s simply a meter on the waning value of the dollar. The reality is that the dollar is tanking big-time, and the main culprit is the widening trade deficit.

Gosh, I was surprised LB published my post.

Here is the text to the two e-mails I sent Ryan Parsons:

4-20, 2:15 p.d.t.

Dear Robert (sic):
As a minor it would be inappropriate for me to send
you the news I find.
But, there is some really good info. you can get at
the H.Amer. logs, especially the letters section.
I'd recommend Common Dreams for accurate news that
you won't find in the Mainstream Media.

Stay informed,
Scott Tyner

That was trite.
That was a really good letter and as a middle-aged
person, it's very encouraging to see a young person
who's interested and cares about the state of our
country.

Keep up the great work,
Scott Tyner

Bush is the one who is reducing our civil liberties, i.e., Patriot Act, NSA wiretapping, Military Commissions Act, etc.

...and pick up economic instability, the pace of national fragmentation, social devolution, civil upheaval, etc., etc. ; all of which to provide the Democratic socialists a so-called "rational" basis for reducing individual freedom and liberty while expanding the role of government.

We are going to inherit bush's war: he's too irresponsible/delusional to support our troops by bringing them home. Instead, he's waiting out his term so the next president can fix the bush mess.
