Writer misses point on immigration

Mike Knezevich's holier-than-thou letter, "Xenophobia is a problem in state" (Sept. 9), misses the entire point relating to illegal immigrants.

His statement, "Many still have the same underlying inability to recognize the value of every human personality - by acknowledging the dignity, the work and the humanity of all individuals" is a case in point.

It appears that Mike doesn't fathom the obvious, which are our existing laws intended to "recognize the value of every human personality - by acknowledging the dignity, the work and the humanity of all individuals," thus preventing illegal immigrants from usurping such.

Okay, I'll bite. Si, can you explain exactly how illegal immigrants usurp "the dignity, the work and the humanity of all individuals"?

Inquiring minds want to know.
