Ex-president creates void

In a recent letter, "Bush creates instabilities" (Aug. 1), the writer implies that President (Impeached) Bill Clinton actively pursued al-Qaeda. This type of misinformation is spread through the liberal media in an effort to rewrite Clinton administration history to provide some modicum of legitimacy to his wanting presidency.

Clinton's pitiful failure to act against terrorism is largely responsible for the terrorism problem we face today. Military experts correctly fault his politically correct and "touchy-feely" decision to halt our human intelligence operatives from recruiting "unsavory characters" for infiltration of terrorist organizations; this created the intelligence void that has hindered and continues to hinder our ability to prevent terrorist attacks.
