  Si Simmons & Charlie Clark--First Red Cross to lose Cherry--(A wounded on board was killed by this round)    A month or so later, Charlie lost his cherry -- took a round in the leg - and that ticket home.
Previous to this "bullseye", while off-loading wounded at Cantho, a combat photographer asked our crewchief, Sp5 Bender, if he felt the VC were respecting the "Red Cross" -- Bender said, "Guess so -- we haven't been hit there yet".
