But could there be another reason?
No -- This is not a conspiracy theorist thang.
Just an interesting topic which gets little attention.
Since the "beginning", the white race has continued to dwindle in population numbers -- and for decades, has dwindled at an increasing rate due to the use of knowledge and resources available to control birth.
Other races, either lacking appropriate knowledge and resources necessary to control birth or desiring to procreate for whatever reason (religious/personal/financial/demographical), continue to procreate at a geometrical progression.
In substantiation, US Census Bureau demographics have projected that the US white race is declining at a greater pace than previously projected -- thus destined to cease to exist much sooner than previously projected.
Knowing this (and not that anyone might even care at this stage):1. Is there a governmental agency (with or without contractual think-tanks) which massages, researches present and future US race compliment implications for the US government and its citizenry?
2. Has there been any governmental attempt or consideration to actively affect future US racial complement?
3. In light of the impending drastic decline and ultimate demise of the white race and the effect on a future US government, its security and its world standing, is there a governmental agency which attempts to determine the best possible successor racial majority?
4. Presently, the only apparent influence that our government could apply toward this end would be in the area of selective immigration. Would it do so?
5. What race would be that choice? Mideast? Asian? Black? Hispanic?

Is there any indication to date that any of the above has been considered by the US government? Vaguely suggested?Preliminarily acted upon?

Well -- food for thought --- even if our only possible course of action is to sit and watch.
