Letters to the editor

Racism claim rings hollow

Denise Boggs' letter, "Racism remains menace today," states, "I was born and raised in the South and left 25 years ago because I couldn't stand the racism ..."

Returning this year, she cites Montgomery's Great Seal which states, "Birthplace of the Civil Rights Movement" and "Cradle of the Confederacy" as evidence of continuing racism.

I have a feeling that when Denise's visit ends, so will a modicum of racism in the South.
