Re: "Why risk more lives if we may call it quits?" What a pitiful show of support for one's own son who's lives in harm's way for our protection. I sincerely hope that our nation's Trooper Hayes, son of Robert Hayes, Long Beach will survive the embarrassment resulting from his father's display of abject cowardice shouted to the world.
Obvious to the son; oblivious to the father, the terrorist enemy's target in this battle of a long war to come, is "the mind of each American citizen". Obviously they've won one mind in Long Beach. Even sadder, this enemy victory further aids and abets the enemy, emboldening it to fight one more day. This "one more day" places our troopers, including Trooper Hayes, in enemy crosshairs one more day. I pray that there evolves no sad irony in all this.
