Is it true that in the early days, Vulcan stood high on Birmingham's southern ridge flipping Atlanta a bird?   Even today, from downtown, it appears that he's still doing the dastardly act. Couldn't he at least be more discreet,  a la  "American Idol"'s Simon Cowell.
